Mountain biking on Mont Ventoux: Discover Mont Ventoux Bike Park

Looking for sports and thrills during your holidays in Provence? The Mont Ventoux Bike Park offers you a fantastic mountain biking experience, combining adrenaline and breathtaking scenery.

The Mont Ventoux Bike Park: an exceptional location

The Bike Park is located on the northern slopes of Mont Ventoux, near the Mont Serein mountain bike station, in a spectacular natural setting. Located between 1400 and 1900 meters, just below the summit, it offers an ideal escape on hot summer days in Provence. The temperature there is often 10°C cooler than below, ideal for mountain biking.

The bike park has all modern facilities:

  • A drag lift to the top
  • Chalet with information point and ticket office
  • 3 runs

The day pass for adults costs €17, and €13 for children under 14 (prices in 2024).

With 3 different runs, Bike Park Ventoux is suitable for bikers of all levels.

Please note that you cannot rent mountain bikes on site, but down in Bédoin there are rental companies.

Practical tips

Mont Ventoux Bike Park is open from 1 June to 1 September, only on Sundays.

Here are some tips to help you prepare well for a day at Bike Park:

Essential equipment

  • Mountain bike suitable for downhill or enduro
  • Helmet
  • Full protection (knee pads, elbow pads, back protector)
  • Gloves
  • Suitable footwear

Ideal timing

  • In very hot weather: start in the morning (milder temperatures)
  • Avoid days with strong mistral wind (strong gusts are dangerous when descending)

Physical preparation

  • Warm up before the first descent
  • Regular hydration (at least 2 litres of water for the whole day)
  • Energy snacks

At Chalet Reynard (slightly down the Bike Park), there is a restaurant (reservations recommended in high season) and downstairs a self-serve with pizza and other snacks. We recommend you bring some energy snacks for a day at the Bikepark.

From your holiday home near the Ventoux in Moulin de Souchières, you will drive in about 55 minutes via Carpentras and Bedoin to the Bike Park with free, spacious parking. For a successful day, we recommend arriving as soon as the slopes open at 10.30am and planning a lunch break around 12.30pm, when there are more people on the tracks.

The advantage of staying in our holiday home with pool near the Ventoux ? After an intense day at the Bikepark, nothing beats a refreshing dip in our private pool, followed by a relaxing evening on the terrace in front of the mill.

Apart from the bike park: mountain biking in Provence

Mont Ventoux is more than just a bike park. The Ventoux offers an unlimited playground for mountain biking in Provence, with trails suitable for enduro and cross-country. The Mountain Bike Provence trails have their origins in millennia-old paths and traditional routes.

Since 2018, the Espace VTT-FFC Ventoux label has been approved by the French Cycling Federation. It offers 19 routes ranging from 10 to 40 km, for a total of 300 km of circuits around Mont Ventoux, with different levels of difficulty.

Each route offers unique challenges, with technique, endurance and varied gradients.

Mont Ventoux is also home to the Grande Traversée VTT de Vaucluse, which defines 2 major tours, the Tour du Mont-Ventoux and the Tour du Pays de Sault.

All these tours have been carefully designed by professionals and Mont Ventoux’s mountain bike offer will be further expanded with new routes over time.
